The atmosphere is light, stylish and subtly sophisticated – far removed from its previous arrangement. The outside areas have also undergone a makeover, now featuring a decked terrace and courtyard garden. Gone is the downstairs children’s play area, replaced with a plush and expansive function room ideal for a host of different occasions from business meetings to weddings.

The drinks range is dominated by premium brands with Amstel, Peroni, and Brains own 45 among the draught lines. Bottles follow a continental path, with a range of world beers, including Budvar, Cruz Campo, Hoegaarden and Wales’ own SA Gold.

The food menu is an eclectic selection with Mediterranean and Italian influences. This is complemented by a sharing plates and nibbles menu for those looking for something a little lighter. Daily specials and fresh fish of the day also add a point of interest.
